It’s no secret banks and credit card issuers have gotten way out of control recently with questionable charges like default clauses, skyrocketing service fees and a slew of other slimy tactics to bleed every penny from your pockets.
Is Bank of America among the first to make changes? Hell no and I think their feeble attempt to make it appear as though they are is a slap in the face to consumers.
Here’s what they’ve done, you decide if it’s what you really needed.

I wrote a post here a couple of months ago about the ethical issues surrounding the new emerging industry of renting a credit score, or “piggy backing”.
At the time of writing that post it was legal and still is today however, the ethical side of the debate is still in question. Because I can make an arguement on both sides, I've decided not to throw my opinion into the arena.
However, my point of this post is to clarify the mislabeling of this practice. It’s being referred to as a credit repair service. Just to set the record straight, it is not credit repair.

Question: How many of you think your ability to explain photosynthesis had a direct impact on the interest rate you pay for your mortgage?
How about your visual arts class in high school? How much did your ability to dance or play the clarinet lower your credit card payments?

First of all, I don’t just pick random authors or “financial experts” for the fun of it. My job is to help people with their financial and credit problems. When I see bad advice by so called financial experts that I know will hurt you, it is my duty to warn you.
I just read an article over at the American Chronicle that is absolutely wrong. If you listen to any of this, you’re going to find your credit scores hitting new all time lows.

I just read an article over at The Red Tape Chronicles where a new survey shows 75 percent of high-tech CEO’s think their customer service is great.
Are you kidding me? Apparently they don’t have the same toll free numbers I have. The ones you spend what seems like hours typing in account numbers, passwords and zip codes only to have an operator finally answer and ask the same damned questions that I just spent an hour typing for their automated attendant.
Before I get too off topic, this article got me thinking about the credit repair industry and how they might be the absolute worst at customer service when in fact, they should be the best. See if this sounds familiar.

Our blog is relatively new and so far we are thrilled with the support and success we’ve had.
I thought this would be a good time to thank a few people for giving us a little exposure as well as some people we enjoy reading and would like to recommend.

Lately I’ve been on a bit of a tangent about what I consider very unethical practices by debt collectors.
Yesterday I was faxed a sleazy little letter that I’ve never seen before. Wait until you see this one.

You can catch more flies with honey than with vinegar.
People will do more of what they are praised for!
Seek out the good in people.
Pick your cliché but I’m certain most of us know there is a direct correlation between how we treat others and the way we are treated in return. We all get this except one breed of individual.
