Finally; A Debt Settlement Program that Works

Posted on March 24th, 2007 by Marc Chase Posted in Debt Negotiation | 9 Comments

Ok, it’s finally done. Probably 80 percent of our clients (or anybody considering credit repair) is torn between credit repair and debt settlement. We expressed our thoughts about debt settlement earlier in this post.

If you didn’t read it I suggest you do. In short I said that in theory debt settlement is a fantastic program. The problems the industry has are the same that the credit repair industry has.

It’s filled with opportunists masquerading as settlement companies, the fees have gone through the roof and it really does a number on your credit score. In my post “if I were a debt Settlement Company” I proposed a program that I think would work miracles for people.

We’ve launched our Debt Settlement / Credit Repair program just as I recommended to other companies years ago. Well, they didn’t listen and now we have.

First: I suggested that fees should be lowered like fast. We did that, we’ve structured fees that are the lowest in the industry.

Second: I suggested that before settlements / negotiations with creditors begin, there should be a comprehensive round of credit repair. We’ve seen too many clients settle debts that could have been deleted all together instead of making payment arrangements.

We’ve done that too. Our Debt Settlement program starts with free credit repair services.

Third: I suggested that settlement companies should negotiate “Pay for Deletions”. They don’t do that and I guess that’s because it’s something that’s more common to credit repair…we’ve done that too.

Finally: I suggested that after all negotiations are completed, that there should be another round of credit repair in an attempt to clean up any loose ends. Yup, included that too.

We gave the Debt Settlement companies a fair chance to listen and they didn’t. We’ve done it and so far it’s working just as we suggested it would…….FANTASTIC.

I have no doubt in time this will be the new industry standard because it’s just good business. Our Debt settlement program arguably the best program to ever hit the settlement industry and we’ve assembled the best team to implement it.

This is the same staff who has led the credit repair industry for years and after several requests, we are now bringing the same service, ethics and integrity to the debt settlement and negotiation industry that we did to credit repair.

Now that makes sense. The pay for deletion during the settlement phase is a nice touch.

Keep it up Marc & Mangie

Signed up over the weekend and will comment later when I see results (or don’t).

I did do a lot of calling around and this does make the most sense hands down.

    Hi John-

Congrats on finding a good lawyer, God knows we’ve gone through our share of bad ones ;)

I cannot tell you exactly what we could do without seeing the reports and letters. If I did, I would just be making it up.

If you would like to call us Monday 800-430-7494 I would be more then happy to look at all the information and then give you a fair assesment of what we feel we could, or could not do.

Sorry I couldn’t give you a direct answer just yet.

Will you settle debts that are only 7000?

Most the places I’ve seen want a minimum of $10,000 before they will do any kind of settlement

  6. comment number 6 by: Marc Chase

As far as the debt amount goes, we have no problem settling 7,000 worth of debt.

Often times, you can save your credit score and money with repair on lower amounts like that. However, we would have to see your credit report.

Feel free to drop us a line and we’ll give you the pro’s and cons of each route based on your circumstances.

  7. Sounds pretty interesting Marc.

How did you implement your credit repair? Is it an inhouse service you guys do or do you have an outside company contracted?

Do you guys stop the collection calls?

How do you guys reduce by up to 70%?

  8. comment number 8 by: Marc Chase

Hi Steve, again sorry for the delay.

Our credit repair is inhouse, click around our actual website. We do stop the collection calls (in most cases) and many debts have been settled for 70%

on the other hand, many we cant get much more then 80 cents on the dollar (you know the game) win some lose some. As I’m sure you know it depends on age of account, payment history, default dates etc etc.

  9. How do you go about legally stopping the collection calls? I find that there are a lot of collection agencies that just do not abide by the law at all. By law once they get the letters of attorney retention they are supposed to stop calling the debtor and only deal with the attorney. However some just do not care at all. I feel the reason that the other collectors deal with us and leave our clients alone is because they know that by working with us they will get money.

And ya gotta remember these collectors buy the debt for very cheap, so they still make extemely nice ROI through a settlement.
