To spend $15,000 in repairs and to work 10 years, he must be crazy about this car. Does he have a family? I think this is too much.

Hi great analogy. Credit repair starts with taking your head out of the sand, you have to tackle the problem head on by talking to your creditors otherwise it is like a snowball, it gets bigger and bigger

Your post inspiring alot people that have trouble with bad credit and this is that I love most from your motivation words :
"Once you have a working knowledge of your unique circumstances, you begin troubleshooting. Who do you owe, how much, and why? And next, comes the fun part. Repairs. Don’t give up hope, even when things seem grim. I have seen even the most pitiful cases turn to solid gold with a little elbow grease, hard work and determination. So, believe me, whatever the case, whatever the obstacle, whatever the challenge, don’t worry. You can fix it! "

Congrats to Jerry. This is just further proof that while it might take time and effort to repair your credit, it's well worth it to do so, in my opinion. Imagine what the situation would be like when you purchase your next car - pre-credit fixed and post-credit fixed. I think for all of us, the post-credit fixed situation would be far more pleasant.

I can so relate to Jerry and his Edsel and what a great story.

I agree whole wholeheartedly that if you want it bad enough you can go against the odds and as long as you maintain that drive and determination anything is possible.

When you really love to do something and do it wholeheartedly, just like you are falling love with someone, you become confident, abled , and, believe it or not, you become lucky...
Your friend know what's he want and try his best to do it, in the end, he made it.
May be that is a good example for all of us.

Bad-ass Edsel! I'm not into cars but my husband is. I remember we argued because he want his old cadillac. And now I think I'm rethinking of arguing with him when it comes to cars.

From someone who spent years restoring their credit, I can attest that it's hard work but worth it. The amount of time it would take for your credit to "reset" is a lifetime when it comes to your growing family. Imagine all the opportunities you'll miss if you leave your horrible credit be! Great blog. Thanks for putting this info on the web.
