A Very Nice Comment From A Collection Attorney
Posted on June 8th, 2007 by Marc Chase Posted in Debt Collectors | 4 CommentsI came across a Blog today by a Michigan Collection Attorney Gary Nitzkin. An article that caught my eye was one about a jury awarding $100K to a consumer against Arrow financial (whom I hate)
As I read more and more of his blog, I really enjoyed what Mr. Nitzkin had to say.
What impressed me most was the fact that he was speaking to other collectors basically telling them to stay on the ethical side of things.
In general I’m not going to be a fan of debt collectors, but as I mentioned in this post, both sides of this industry need to be cleaned up and I hold Mr. Nitzken in the highest regard for his efforts on that side of the industry.
If the credit repair industry could clean up its act and there were more collectors like Nitzkin and Associates, this whole credit industry would be a lot better place for all of us.
Gary had some nice things to say about our blog which were truly appreciated and I wish him the best.
Gary – If you ever show up on one of our clients reports, loser of the dispute process buys the winner Starbucks.

First time reader and poster but wanted to commend you. You’ve done a very nice job of informing readers, pointing out the dark side of your industry as well as the collection industry and managed to be civil with both sides.

I agree with Beatrice, great blog Marc, there needs to be more people like you in our industry Marc, people who aren’t afraid to tell it how it is and who don’t sugar coat things.
