    Making Payments to Collection Agencies

A few years back I had a credit card that the original creditor had charged off. They sent it to a collection agency who I made payment arrangements with. Here's the kicker...

After reading this forum, specifically the statute of limitations part, its past the SOL. In fact its 9 years old DOAH!

Oh well rookie mistake. But since its past the statute do I need to continue making payments to them?

    Chopsticks,

You're doing the right thing by paying your debts. For the most part, if its been 9 years it shouldn't be on your credit report unless they got a judgment - which would start the reporting period over. In some specific instances the fact that you made payments could have extended the statute of limitations.
