Paid Charge off still showing on credit report

I had a charge off from a credit card that I paid back in October of 2009. I just saw that the charge off is still showing that I owe money. I sent the credit bureaus a copy of my cancelled check and so far they haven't done anything about it.

This is really hurting my credit score and am helping somebody can help me. I just don't kow what else I can do.

Well first off the damage was already done when it went to charge off status so the fact that it's still showing with a balance isnt really what's hurting your score (unless you're trying to get a loan and they need to see that paid). Never-the-less you want to get that corrected.

Send a copy of the receipt certified mail to the company reporting.
