Can a removed collection account be added back on to your credit reports?
I am soo excited, I just reviewed a new credit report from annualcreditreport.com, and found 3 collection accounts have been removed from my credit reports, woohooo!
This is a great day, I wasn't sure if this whole writing letters and paying accounts would make any difference.
It's great to see that me paying some of my collection accounts off will help my credit report and overall situation.
BUT... I have a quick question I hadn't thought about until now, primarily because I didn't think this would work at all. For the first time happy to see I was wrong.
Ok back to my question so 3 collection accounts removed from my credit reports,
One of them I had paid and the collection company agreed to remove.
Second one I had no idea what it was or whom they were collecting for so I wrote a letter to the credit bureaus.
The third account was reporting past due balance, I had read a collection company could not report this, so I wrote a letter regarding that situation.
I thought they would just remove the past due comment but they removed the entire account. Even better right.
I am wondering if anyone knows if these collection accounts can be added back on to my credit reports at a later time, and if so how easy and often is it done?
Thank you for your answers

Can a previously deleted account be added back on you credit report
Hi Hannah,
it is not uncommon for a previously removed account to be re-inserted; however, a credit bureau must notify you in writing that 5 days after the reinsertion. This seldom occurs and with that said, if it shows up and you were not notified of the re-insertion, simply write a dispute letter stating as such along with the report that indicated the item was deleted. Do this by certified mail, you always want a paper trail.
