Lawsuit against credit repair company raises concern

I have been reading alot about this big lawsuit filed against Veracity Credit by the AG in CO. Being involved with credit repair myself Im a bit concerned. Does this confirm that credit repair companies are "scammers" who break the law? should us credit repair hopefuls be more skeptical? any particular dangers to be aware of?

    Hi Chip,

Your concerns are valid, but like any industry there are good guys and there are bad guys. By no means am I saying Veracity is bad, but apparently the the Colorado Attorney General didn't feel like they were following the Credit Repair Organizations Act.

I happen to know a couple people there and think they're pretty OK guys - we'll just have to wait and see what happens. We have an article about scams you can read here. Credit Repair Scams
