    DONT have bad credit...can a credit repair service help me improve a little?

    can a credit repair company help me if I DONT have bad credit? I just want to boost up the credit score a bit. Is there a way of purchasing specific services or would signing up lump me into a whole big credit repair program? Any tips on how to just make some improvements?

    Hi Frank,

    A tough one to answer. A good credit repair company could/should be able to help you because they should understand the credit system. If you don't have bad credit and are just trying to optimize your current credit profile - just work on creating a "model credit profile".

    - One Mortgage
    - One Auto Loan
    - 3 to 5 Credit cards

    Keep your balances very low in relation to their limits (below 10%).

    If you work towards that model, you'll be good to go.

    Ok I only have one small credit card so should I get another one? If it does help my credit score how soon do you think I would see the score improvement?
