    Debt settlement payment plan?

    If I decide to settle a debt account of mine, (they are a few - generally between about a year & 3 years old), is the collection agency that it's with willing to work out a payment plan if we settle the account for less than is owed? Or will they only settle my account for less if I pay off the full amount at once?
