I had someone tell me that you cannot settle medical bills, that you need to pay the full amount, but that it's much more likely to get those accounts removed once you have paid. I'm trying to do my own debt settlement, does anyone know if there's any validity to that statement? Because I have found it much harder to get medical bills settled, I just didn't know why.
