Ok so like 5 years ago, I went to this Credit Consolidation company, they took all my money and left my credit looking like crap....

I have been researching Debt settlement companies (which handle your debt all at once instead of just small monthly payments) i cant afford to ruin my credit anymore than it already is, I want to start cleaning it up so after I get married I can start looking into buying a house.

So I guess my question is, Can a Debt Settlement company help me clean up my credit AND save me some money or am I better off just paying them in full myself?
