I have a debt settlement question that finally isnt for me

A co-worker of mine had his car repossessed and was wondering if he could settle the debt with the car company. I told him about you guys and he said he would join, but i wanted to post anyway just to hear the answer.

Long story short, he had his truck repod 2 weeks ago and didnt know if there's any way to fix this. he wanted to settle the account but i told him im pretty sure repossessions cant be settled because its a secured debt?

Am i right or wrong?
