I'm unhappy to report that I am officially in jeopardy of foreclosure because of delinquent payments. naturally, I'm looking for a way to avoid a foreclosure. With the advice of a friend, I am looking to ways of paying off the house for less. I am aware of short-selling, but want to try to keep the home.

Is there any way of settling the mortgage debt for an affordable amount so that I can keep the home?
