Bankruptcy Dismissed but still on my credit

I filed for a bankruptcy about 6 months ago but then pulled out. It is showing on my credit report. I thought for sure since I pulled out that it shouldn’t show.

I called my BK attorney and he said that its accurate.

Well that sucks, but it is what it is I guess. Does this hurt just as much as if I had followed through with it?

This one is always a little dissapointing. I hate to say it but you may have been better off filing a bankruptcy. A dismissed is just as damaging as a BK that runs its course. the only difference now is that your debts werent' forgiven.

Start building new positive credit to offset the damage.
